Galerie Stanislas Bourgain - Fyodor Pavlov-Andreevich

Fyodor Pavlov-Andreevich

Biography

Exploring a distance between a work of art and its audience, Fyodor Pavlov-Andreevich creates performances and site-specific installations, objects, guerrilla actions and long-durational works that he presents worldwide under curatorship of Hans Ulrich Obrist, RoseLee Goldberg, Klaus Biesenbach, and Marina Abramovic, to name but a few.

Pavlov-Andreevich’s diverse body of work explores “the relationship between the hidden and the exposed, over and underexposure, communication (at times, anonymous) between artist and his audience, and the role of ritual in visual art”. His work continues to explore the theme of anonymous intercourse between an artist and his audience. The performance serves to inform, enlighten, and most importantly, support a significant cause.

Fyodor Pavlov-Andreevich wears many hats as an artist practicing in Brazil, a museum director in Russia, and a curator, writer, theater director, and filmmaker in London. He is the 2015 recipient of the Kuryokhin Art Award’s Grand Prix for his “Performance Carousel.”
